CASCO evolved from a partnership firm originally established by E. George Cassis in Litchfield, Illinois in 1959. The firm relocated to Kirkwood, MO in 1962 and became incorporated as Cassis Associates, Inc. in June of 1963. 

 

Around 1965, in a joint venture with William Tao and Associates, Cassis Associates built a new office building on 59th Street in south St. Louis.  The new facility was shared by both firms.

 

In June of 1980 the firm was relocated to Sunset Office Drive in Sunset Hills, MO. 

 

In April of 1985, the company took the name of CASCO Corporation. Through the 80’s and 90’s, the firm experienced a massive period of growth through high-volume national rollouts for dominant retail giants. We spearheaded massive commercial programs for household names like The Home Depot, Toys "R" Us, Circuit City, and Kohl's.

 

In the fall of 1987, CASCO relocated to leased spaces on Watson Road, Sunset Hills, MO.  As CASCO continued to grow, additional leased area in this building was acquired over the following years.

 

In 1990, CASCO established our first regional office, the Eastern Regional office, in Edison, New Jersey. Through the mid to late 90’s, we continued to add commercial programs such as Rooms To Go, PetSmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

 

In November of 1999, CASCO purchased the entire building from the landlord.  During the following year, CASCO remodeled the facility, which culminated in an open house for clients, friends, and family in November of 2000.  

 

The early 2000’s through 2010’s saw an expansion in CASCO’s markets, growing to include urgent care, entertainment, mixed-use commercial, grocery, and, towards the end of the 2010’s, early childhood education. We also continued to add big name retail accounts like Best Buy, Jiffy Lube, O’Reilly Automotive, and Bass Pro Shops. CASCO came under its current ownership in 2014.

 

In 2017, CASCO partnered with interior design firm R|5 Design Agency, adding hospitality and restaurant design to our portfolio, and the company moved again to an extensively remodeled office space in Sunnen Office Park in Maplewood.

 

By the end of 2019, CASCO became CASCO Diversified Corporation (CD Companies) and developed five distinct divisions – CASCO, R|5 Design, FACET Architectural Design, M/E 1, and CASCO Civil. Through diversifying, CD Companies created an in-house team capable of handling any project. Each service group has access to the talent and resources of their sister groups, allowing us to create the perfect team for each client.

2025 saw the addition of more remote locations throughout the country, including Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, Kansas City, KS, Phoenix, AZ, and Redlands, CA.
